Children and Minors Protection Policy

This policy explains how Dirextalk treats children and minors, meaning people under 18 for this project policy. Local law may define a child or require guardian authorization at a different age.
Project-operated interactive services and support are not offered to people under 18. This is a service boundary, not a claim that an age statement alone satisfies every law or prevents all access.
1. Project-operated services are adults only
A person under 18 must not use a project-operated account, interactive service, support channel, safety mailbox, or other service that asks them to submit personal information. The static public documentation is written for adults who deploy, administer, evaluate, or lawfully support the software.
We currently describe no project-operated age-verification, parental-consent, real-identity, minor mode, guardian-control, anti-addiction, or child-account system because those controls have not been implemented and verified for a hosted service.
2. If a minor contacts the project
A parent, guardian, or other person may notify us at liyananinsh@outlook.com if they believe a minor submitted personal information to a project-controlled channel. Provide only enough information to locate the interaction; do not send identity documents, intimate material, credentials, or illegal content unless we specifically provide a lawful and secure procedure.
After a credible notice, we will restrict unnecessary use, assess immediate safety and legal-preservation needs, verify the request proportionately, and delete or otherwise handle project-controlled information as applicable law requires. We may preserve limited evidence or report to an appropriate authority where necessary to protect a child or comply with law.
3. Independent nodes that choose to serve minors
Each independent node operator decides whether to permit minors. An operator that does so is independently responsible for determining and implementing the requirements that apply to its service, users, locations, and processing. Installing Dirextalk does not create legal compliance or transfer that responsibility to the project.
- Set and enforce lawful age eligibility and adult capacity rules, including parent or guardian authorization where required.
- Implement any required age assurance, real-identity verification, minor mode, high-privacy defaults, guardian controls, time or spending limits, and anti-addiction measures.
- Give child-readable and guardian-accessible notices and collect no more personal information than necessary.
- Provide reporting, blocking, anti-bullying, moderation, emergency escalation, and unlawful-content procedures appropriate to minors.
- Provide lawful access, correction, deletion, objection, consent-withdrawal, appeal, and guardian-request procedures.
- Assess security, vendors, federation, retention, transfers, incidents, audits, and any required regulator or law-enforcement reporting.
4. Federation and safety limits
A message sent into a federated room may be delivered to independently operated nodes in different locations. Operators should explain those recipients and avoid placing minors in federated spaces unless the sharing, safeguards, notices, and legal basis have been assessed.
Blocking, reporting, redaction, and moderation can reduce harm but may not erase copies, screenshots, exports, or backups held by other participants. Dirextalk does not promise universal encryption, anonymity, identity verification, or centralized moderation across independent nodes.
5. Harm, exploitation, and emergency reports
Sexual exploitation, grooming, trafficking, coercion, credible threats, unlawful exposure of a minor's private information, and illegal child sexual abuse material are prohibited in project-controlled channels. Do not download, forward, or attach illegal material to a report.
If a minor is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or an appropriate child-protection authority. The project mailbox is not continuously monitored and cannot administer an independent node. Report node-controlled content to that node's operator as well.
6. Privacy rights and guardian requests
A parent or guardian may contact liyananinsh@outlook.com about project-controlled information. We will use proportionate verification, protect information about other people, respond as applicable law requires, and explain any lawful refusal or escalation path. For node-controlled information, contact that independent node operator.
7. Review and changes
The project should review this age boundary if it begins operating accounts, registration, messaging, hosted nodes, analytics, or child-directed experiences. Serving minors requires verified operational controls and jurisdiction-specific legal review before launch; changing this page alone is not sufficient.
