Dirextalk Community Guidelines

Dirextalk is designed for private social spaces run by independent node operators. These guidelines govern project-controlled channels and offer a baseline that operators may adopt or supplement for communities they control.
1. Respect people and their boundaries
Do not harass, threaten, intimidate, repeatedly disturb, impersonate, groom, exploit, or expose private information about another person without lawful permission.
2. Prohibited content and activity
- Spam, repeated advertising, malicious links, phishing, fraud, or deceptive schemes.
- Illegal, hateful, violent, extremist, abusive, or rights-infringing content.
- Sexual exploitation, grooming, endangerment, or any illegal content involving minors.
- Attacks on nodes, rooms, Agents, network services, or user devices.
- Conduct that violates applicable law or the lawful rights of others.
3. Reporting, blocking, and emergencies
Use available reporting and blocking features and contact the operator of the relevant node or community. Share only information needed for review. The effect of a report or block depends on current product behavior, federation, and operator controls.
If a child or any person is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. The project mailbox is not continuously monitored and is not an emergency service.
4. Enforcement boundaries
Node operators control their deployments and may take actions available in their environment. The Dirextalk project can act only on website or project-operated services within its control; it cannot directly administer an independent node.
