Dirextalk Support and Data Deletion

Last updated: July 11, 2026

Dirextalk separates data on devices and owner-controlled nodes from information voluntarily sent to the individual developer operating the project. A request must be directed to the person or operator that controls the relevant environment.

1. Local device data

Use controls currently available in the Dirextalk client or operating system to remove local configuration, sessions, cache, or application data from a device you control. Confirm what you need to preserve first; deleted identities, keys, settings, or local history may not be recoverable.

2. Self-hosted and federated data

An independent node operator handles deletion of room, identity, media, configuration, log, backup, and server data under its control. Do not send secrets or administration credentials to the project.

A deletion or redaction on one node may not erase copies already delivered to independently operated nodes through federation, retained in backups, or lawfully preserved. Contact each relevant operator about data it controls.

3. Project-controlled support information

Email liyananinsh@outlook.com with the subject “Data Request” and identify the email address, approximate date, and project interaction involved. State whether you request access, correction, deletion, or another applicable right. Do not send identity documents unless we specifically explain why proportionate verification is necessary.

We will verify authority where reasonably necessary, search project-controlled systems, respond within the period required by applicable law, and explain applicable limits. We cannot directly delete data from your device, an independent node, a third-party service, or a user-controlled Agent environment.

A parent or guardian may make a request concerning a minor. Explain your relationship and the relevant interaction; we will request only the verification reasonably needed for the request.

4. Before you request help

  • Identify whether the data is on your device, your node, another operator's node, a federated participant, or a message sent to project support.
  • Contact the administrator of the environment that controls the data.
  • Share only the minimum information needed and never share secrets or administration credentials.
